Building Classes in London City Sandbox

Learning to build in SL can be one of the most daunting experiences inside of this world.

Many of us find it easier to buy something ready made and often pay a lot of money for something that is actually quite straight forward to make, if only we knew how.

Ruby Jones (RubyJones) is now holding regular building lessons, twice a week on Mondays and Tuesdays in the London City Sandbox, inside the Houses of Parliament at 2.30am SL (10.30am UK).

Ruby is patient and helpful and gets a genuine thrill from passing on her skills to others.
During her research into what people needed, she discovered that far from the majority of people needing advanced lessons, they needed help and confidence in building basic prim designs.

On the day I attended it was a Beginners Class and we were all taught how to create a swing chair.

Whilst not a masterpeice I was quite pleased with the outcome.  I recommend that no one be shy about lacking the ability to build, no matter how long you have been in SL.  Ruby is endlessly kind, encouraging and gives great advice and practical demonstrations of things that all of us can make.

If you are interested in learning to build, why not pop along to the next class.   If you're really shy, you are most welcome to just watch, but I bet you get bitten by the bug and can't resist getting involved.

Why not pop along on any Monday or Tuesday at 2.30am SL and see for yourself?
