Weekend in Review - 13th to 15th April

Well that's another weekend over with and a new week has been birthed.  On a brighter note, that means we are even closer to the next weekend in London City!

The weekend got underway for us at Bar Soho on Friday with a Best in Sportswear contest.  Hostess Katty stepped in to help out as the regular host was abducted by aliens (or RL, which is much the same experience).  Yours truly stepped in to DJ for the night and I have to confess, I rather enjoyed myself...not sure how much the clientele enjoyed my dance tracks though!

After Bar Soho, we headed down the street as we usually do on a Friday to Madame Lala's London Revue, where there was a special performance by Blondie.

Maybe not Atomic, but definitely traces of radiation...
The party at World's End pub on Saturday was in danger of being raided by the police as the contest was Best in Baddie.  Thankfully the criminal masterminds of London City were able to stay free and made their escape after the event.

For the main event in Regent's Park we saw the ever popular Bee Gees take to the stage.  I do like a nice stage but it usually takes more than that to get my knickers wagging, however, this was something special - a giant disco ball that opened up to reveal the group.

An awesome stage set

After the concert in Regent's Park, revellers (who were obviously drunk and had impaired judgement) boarded the night bus.  Their destination was a Best in Space event at Lezbo and given the bus drivers in London City, a flight in to space is highly probable.

On Sunday we had another sixties inspired event at Substation with the contest theme of Mods and Rockers.  There was also a live performance by the ever lovely Adevina Citron - great voice and a great personality too.

A great crowd for Adevina
To round the weekend off, there was a Rocky Horror Picture Show event over at Lezbo.

Defies description...
And that's all from me for another week.  Stay tuned to this channel for more news on London City!
