Celebrating 15 years of Second Life

On a summers day fifteen years ago, Second Life (formerly Linden World in 2001) opened its doors to the public for the first time.

Things were very different then.  Avatars were called Primatars and they were made from the building blocks that were also used in basic buildings of the day.

Next weekend in celebration of Seconds Life's Birthday, everyone on the grid is invited to partake in SL15B, a community celebration with exhibits from the most popular places in Second Life.

We hope you will come and visit London City at SL15B next Sunday when the event begins.

Our Slurl (which comes online next weekend) is: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/SL15B%20Electrify/188/5/23

Here is a video of how it all began for the Lab with Linden World.  Enjoy!
