London Sizzles

The boating lake in London City North
Yet again, it is the hottest day of the year, with temperatures in London at 33.3c (92F).  However, this record is likely to be broken again on Friday!

The current heatwave gripping the UK shows no signs of abating, and there are temperatures as high as 35c (96F) expected by the end of the week.

It is expected that this will be the hottest Summer in Great Britain in a hundred years!

The Beach and Pier in London City West
So you need to stay out of the RL sun and enjoy the safe and reliable SL sun enjoyed in London City.  What better way is there to remain safe, than logging in to your favourite social experience, where we can collectively complain about the heat?   Make use of the water based facilities to cool down your virtual persona!

Holiday Season

The beach scene in Substation
Wow, what fantastic weather we are having this year!   Wall to wall sunshine for weeks on end!

We're coming to the very height of the summer now, and just like many of you going on your holidays, so are many of our cast and crew.

During the next few weeks, we'll do our very best to bring you the events you have come to expect from us.  Invariably there will be some changes to the line-ups, as some members of our team set off on holidays.

Real life holidays are the highest priority in the universe, so you will forgive us for some changes (he says as he hurriedly packs his bags).

Also, because England has made it through to the World Cup Semi Final, there is no Worlds End this Wednesday, but you can listen live in London City and comment on the match with all your mates.

England v Croatia

World Cup Semi Final today at 11am SL time (7pm UK).

You can listen live to the match in London City and scream and yell for every goal England scores as they take Croatia to the cleaners!

Engerlaaaand, Engerlaaaand!

Waiting for London City to restart...
Goodness what a day!

The Grid has been having some horrible issues which resulted in London City going offline for a little over four hours.

We're delighted to be back, and thank you for your kind messages and your patience!

POTUS visit to the UK

This time next week, the President of the United States of America will be in the UK for a diplomatic visit.

This democratically elected President will be subjected to humiliation by our London Mayor, Sadiq Khan, who has granted permission for a 20 foot blimp of the President in a nappy, to be flown in parliament square during his visit.

This insult goes beyond the current President as it attacks the office he represents, at a time when Britain is trying to forge new trade routes with the USA.

As usual, this demonstration is organized by those who oppose Brexit.  They see the current President as an enabler for the wishes of the majority of Brits, who voted in favour of leaving the Bloc, two years ago.

To register your displeasure with the mayor's disgraceful conduct in permitting this embarrassment to both the UK and the USA, please sign the online petition to block flying of the "angry baby blimp".

Here is the link to the petition:
