Tickled Pink

Thank you to everyone who visited the weekend concerts through September and helped celebrate London City's 7th Birthday.   We hope you enjoyed the festivities as much as we enjoyed bringing them to you.

Last night the London City Players presented Pink in Concert to a full house.  Next week is the beginning of the Autumn season which of course, at the end of the month, includes our Halloween shows featuring Michael Jackson and also The War Of The Worlds.

The Carpenters in Concert on Saturday

The Carpenters were an American vocal and instrumental duo. They were the worlds biggest selling group of the 1970's.

Although only mainly active for that single decade, by the time of Karen's death in 1983 aged just 32, ten of their singles become million-sellers and by the millenium over 100 million albums had been sold.

"Calling Occupants of Interplanetary Craft", is  the recognised anthem of World Contact Day which happens in March each year, where the song is constantly broadcast by satellites into outer space.

Join us for The Carpenters in Concert.  Party in the Park starts at 12pm SL (8pm UK) and features songs from the era and The Carpenters in Concert begins an hour later at 1pm SL.

From an acorn..

London City started out on the Mainland, seven years ago.  Back then it was called "Mainland London".

For posterity, we still maintain a small parcel on our original home region 'Mephilo Tor'.
