The Weekend Review 10-12 August 2012

Hey, hey hey London City whatsup? Well, I never thought it would happen,  (some are thankful it has), ... I'm totally speechless!!! Did you see all the events in London City this weekend? O.M.G what a blast we had, 3 full sims of pure enjoyment,  if I didn't have pictures to prove it  , you would never believe me!!

So, let me get on with it and tell you all about it.

Friday 10th August 2012

TGIF!!! RL, today dragged on, waiting for the clock to hit home-time, waiting to login to SL, and most importantly into London City, The Top Destination is Second Life!! I've heard rumours,in darkened corners, that some people log-in to SL, and get bored because there's nothing to do??? What?  They obviously haven't found London City.... we have so much going on everyday in our sim's people literally queue to get in!
When Friday rolls around, the best place to head to is Substation, Roy and his team are rearing to go, to start your weekend with a bang! playing  music you can sing along to, in  fun, quirky surroundings, it's time to meet your friends, win some lindens, have fun chat and dancing

Then on to Bar Soho

Bar Soho

Bar Soho is a great place, playing all the latest hits, in swanky surroundings, echoing the real Soho in London. This really is a fantastic night out not to be missed, Dj willy on hand to play the great tunes and Katty your fun host that keep the mood light and fun  :) just one of the Dj Host combinations that work so well together keeping Bar Soho one of the most popular clubs in Second  Life.

Madame Lala's

Then on to Madame Lala's.

This week the club's event was best in fetish... Oo La La we saw some sights lol  Dj Fierce spinning the eclectic bunch of tunes  and myself hoisting, this is always the best fun, non stop giggles from start to finish in a club that welcomes everyone, anything and everything goes.

Regents Park Martians

Saturday 11 August 2012

The chances of anything coming from Mars was a million to one they said....

The eve of the war, The Martians have landed on Earth... In London City, even they have heard what a great night out it is with us.
Regents Park

Abruptly, the sound ceased...

Helvis Xue

Helvis Xue

Later, no stranger to  London City, the awesome talented Helvis Xue, only singing LIVE, to a mass audience  on the Olympic stage in Regents Park, Helvis sings songs from his hero Elvis, but also ( get this ) he sings more contemporary songs with an Elvis twist, it's just like the King is still with us.

His voice is flawless, and he enjoys some cheeky banter with the audience who love him to bits. That's why he returns time and time again back to London City to perform for all his adoring  fans here.

Party people, came in their hundreds to sing and dance with Helvis, the stage was set, it had a fantastic Las Vegas Feel.  What a great night.

Later, we hot foot it round to Juiced, our fantastic themed night club, a new night, a new theme, a new d├ęcor, that's right, every night the club takes on a new look, and tonight is no exception, best in tattoo's, so the club was transformed into a tattoo shop complete with inking chair's and tattoo's you could pick from, this was an awesome night everyone turned up inked to the max, fun times!!

Sunday 12th August 2012

As always, our very own Angel of Mercy, Bailey Saxmundham, takes pity on the partied out people from the previous night, and eases us gently back into the land of the living, playing us the best in easy listening tunes at Madame Lala's. Thank heavens for small mercies :)

Usually we head to Substation for a right knees up, but tonight we head back to Regents Park, yet another night of history in the making, it's the Closing Ceremony of the Olympics, so Substation was held in the Park Roy hosted as Bailey played the tunes, people flocking in to be part of the celebrations, ready for the ceremony to start.

9pm rolled round, and the whole Real Life event was being beamed into Regents Park,

Wow the wonders of technology, how awesome. and what a night, we saw images portraying the hustle and bustle of London Living. Artists from the Uk, singing the songs we can all rememeber. George Michael , The Spice Girls, Stomp, all simply wondeful and all viewed from the number #1 venue in Second Life.

Then on to Juiced for best in Vampire

The club was transformed into a dark Gothic Vampire Castle, there was a river of blood as the dance floor, spine chilling stuff.

See, I told ya :) so that's it from me this week, I'll see you through the week fun more fun and games.

Weekend in Review - March 2nd to 4th

So kiddies, we had all the usual stuff in London City over the weekend - some bawdiness at Bar Soho, an utter campfest at Madame Lala's and lots of lovely lunacy at Lezbo.  The big events were at Regent's Park on Saturday and Comptons on Sunday - where we had two live performers.

Helvis Xue was our Saturday spectacle in the park.  Always a popular singer with a good selection of songs and plenty of banter with the audience.

Helvis and audience
On Sunday at the local boozer, we had the vocal talents of Adevina Citron, who is always good value for money with her songs and wit.

In the not so humble opinion of auntie Bailey, if you are not coming to London City on a weekend, you are really missing out on the start planning to join us from Friday!

Weekend in Review - January 20th to 22nd

Hello kiddies!  It is I, auntie Bailey here once again with a review of the weekend in London City.  Don't they go by so quickly?  I suppose time flies when you are having fun and London City was full to the gunnels (or gunwales if you want to be absolutely correct) with entertainment.

The weekend started even earlier than usual for us as there was the relaunch of World's End pub - with dancing, music, darts and hot tub action with new landladies, Coffee and Heather.

World's End relaunch party
This was followed by the usual riotous activity at Bar Soho and Madame Lala's London Revue.  Three events in three establishments in one night...sometimes we really spoil you!

On Saturday we had the welcome return of Helvis Xue to Regent's Park.  Seems appropriate having the King in Regent's Park!

Party people having their socks rocked off!
Helvis - the King (of hotness)
Following on from Helvis in the park, we headed off to Lezbo for a "shiny and shades" contest.

The Lezbo crowd show us their shiny bits...
Sunday is our weekend wind down but that didn't mean there was any let up on the entertainment front.  We gathered at Comptons pub for a Best in Casual contest.

And after Comptons it was back off to Lezbo for Best in Formal - with enough big frocks to lag a sim packed in to one venure!

Weekend in Review - 2-4 December

Auntie Bailey here with the review of another fun packed weekend in London City.  On Friday we kicked off the weekend at three of the London City venues.  At World's End pub, we had live guitarist Joaquin Gustav to help soothe our weekday woes.

Live music at World's End pub
This was followed at Bar Soho with DJ Billy and a Best in Gothic contest that saw the audience unleash their darker side before we went to the other end of the scale at Madame Lala's London Revue with a touch of camp and a Best in Glam contest.  Once spinmeister Tor was done with the campness, the lovely Miss Ruby took over and treated us to some banging tunes to round the night off in fine style.

On Saturday we were paid another visit by Helvis Xue who crooned and rocked our socks off by turns in his fabulous tribute to Elvis.

Helvis lives!
The rabble!
While the party continued in Regent's Park, and featured a raffle for L$s, Ruby flung open the doors of Lezbo for a Best in Casual contest.

Partying the night away at Lezbo
Sunday at Comptons provided the perfect way to wind up the weekend with a Best in Lush contest, which had three very worthy winners!

Lots of lushes!

Weekend in Review - 19-20 November

Hello kiddies, auntie Bailey here again with another weekend roundup.  Please bear with me on this, I am a little sore today as I was hit by one of the new London buses yesterday - quite a surprise as I was in my rooftop garden at the time...

On Saturday we had the fantastic Helvis Xue performing live in Regent's Park - about as close to the real Elvis as we could get without coaxing him out of hiding in the chippy in Skegness.  The sim was full to bursting and he lulled us all with some smooth tunes first before rocking our socks off.

Helvis Xue on stage
The audience adoring Helvis
Sunday saw us having a hoedown in Comptons pub, which is always a novelty but thankfully it wasn't my turn to sweep up all the straw afterwards.

Elsewhere in London City 3: Victoria things are progressing well.  A newsagent has set up shop there and the new club for ladies who like ladies, Lezbo, is close to opening.  On London City 2: West End, the World's End pub is proving to be popular with a range of events such as strip bingo(!) and trivia contests.

Strip bingo at World's End...
Rumour has it that following the appearance of a few signs of Christmas across the city, the seasonal festivities will be getting bigger over the next few this space for details.
