We started counting New Residents born into London City a few years ago and not from the very beginning. So although this is not an all time record, it is a modern day record.
And today we reached a milestone, the 100,000th New Resident in London City.
And here he is!
Thank you JuicyBalls for making the 100,000th new resident a memorable occasion for everyone.

London City is pleased to announce that the New User Community Gateway is now on-line, with over 600 new residents born directly into London City since Friday evening.
New accounts will experience an orientation tutorial which demonstrates the essentials needed for the first hour in Second Life, then pass through into the original community region, London City.
London City has always offered help for New Residents including an extensive Freebie Shop, one-to-one training sessions and building lessons. Taking this to another level with a dedicated Community Gateway in which they are able to hold classes and show more in-depth orientations, adds a very useful additional layer to the initial experience.
Help is on hand as always, with the London Support team, and you may well see a Linden presence throughout the weekend as they work to ensure that New Residents born to London City get the best possible first impression of Second Life.
London City thanks its community for being instrumental in making this Gateway a reality, and for being ambassadors in representing all the good things in Second Life.

New residents joining Second Life will soon be asked for their preferred location when initially joining the world.
We are proud to represent the UK choice and to offer the gateway for London via our new region, The London City Gateway.
Building work continues, but here is the first glimpse of London City Community Gateway..

We were all new to Second Life once and if like me you found yourself dumped on an island with little or no help, never fear London City is here!
Our renovated New Resident Help Center is dedicated to assisting new residents as well as those who have been away from Second Life and missed all the changes. The LC NRH is centered around the current Second Life Viewer build and includes an overview of the User Interface as well as some very handy Quick Tips for those Residents in a hurry to start their Second Life.
As ever, our team of dedicated Support Staff is always on hand, but with our exclusive Live Support feature Residents in need of help can now chat live with a London City Support member with just one click. We have eliminated the need to search out tags or specific Staff Members with this feature.
As a compliment to the LC NRH Center, those Residents wishing to learn more about the UI will be able to attend free form classes that will cover a wide range of topics. These classes will be informal, interactive and above all fun.
If you are new to Second Life or are returning to a world that seems just a little unfamiliar, be sure to visit the LC NRH Center.

Regent's Park is more than just a hang-out for chatting and socialising.
It offers a complimentary layer of assistance beyond the New Resident Induction program in St. James's Square in London City2.
Help is always on hand with our team of experienced Support staff, who will give one-to-one help showing new residents how to perform basic functions from unpacking boxes, finding clothing, searching places, upgrading or verifying their accounts to the more intricate matters of setting their viewers for the best performance.
Many of those forming the London Support team have been in SL for three or more years, so they have experienced most of the other strange anomalies that are very frustrating to the newer resident. They can help with Ruthed appearance, random crashing, cloud and ghosted avatars, missing inventory and have practical knowledge that can assist people with a multitude of problems that goes a lot deeper than basic induction.
So next time something happens that you don't know how to fix, head to the meeting area in Regent's Park and look for the London Support tag. London Support is here to help new and experienced residents alike.
