London City West - Red Light

Whilst not entirely completed, London City Red Light has a green light and is good to go.

Over the next couple of days we will install all the 'adventure' equipment, The Crown will open its doors and you will be able to explore all the adult features that this region has to offer.

We will continue to work hard behind the scenes to have London City Red Light completed by this weekend.   No need to wait until then, drop by and see our progress.

Stores are now available to rent for the introductory and wonderfully low price of 200L per week for 25 prims!

Weekend in Review - January 13th to 15th

The London City weekend kicked off with the usual Bar Soho and Madame Lala's London Revue double whammy.  A special tribute concert at Madame Lala's lovely establishment featured Roy Orbison and we were even graced with the presence of Lala herself.

The event in Regent's Park on Saturday was the ever popular sim packer, Amy MacDonald.  With the sim maxed out, it was dancing room only and we were practically nose to nipple on the dancefloor...not that there were any complaints about that!

Comptons pub on Sunday provided us with the perfect end to the weekend as London City favourite Adevina Citron took to the stage.  The crowd-pleasing chanteuse treated us to an hour of songs that put the feel good factor in to our Sunday.

Weekend in Review - -11 December

Hello kiddies, auntie Bailey here with the usual weekend roundup and what a weekend it was!  Christmas is definitely well underway in London City.

Things got off to a smooth start at World's End pub in the West End, with the amazing Joaquin Gustav and his guitar coming to us all the way from South America.  He played a selection of cool tunes, including some Christmas favourites given the Joaquin Gustav twist.

Straight after World's End, we had Best in Tattoos at Bar Soho with DJ Billy Arentire, before a mad dash down the street to Madame Lala's London Revue with DJ Torric Rodas for camp Christmas!

On Saturday we had the return of Elton John to Regent's Park for the weekend tribute concert and Best in Festive Outfit.  Elton seemed to go down well with the crowd, even when he hurled himself from the stage and proceeded to circulate among the audience.

On stage: Elton John and the Eltonettes
On Sunday I heard a commotion outside Comptons pub.  Investigation showed it was the launch of a new movie co-starring London City's very own Evie Falconer 'Griefbusters'.  Alas I was not able to get close enough to the stars for a clear shot as they were surrounded by paparazzi.

Later on Sunday, Comptons saw more activity with Best in Christmas Hat.  There was a great atmosphere and I for one felt proud to be associated with London City.

The awesome DJ Ruby Jones rounded off the weekend's musical entertainment with Best in Black at Lezbo.

Next week we are talking Bar Soho out in to the park for a week of outside broadcasts!  The concert in the park on Saturday is...Boney M!

Weekend in Review - 20-21 August

The usual weekend madness fell across London City at the weekend.  As always, we kicked off the weekend with a party at Bar Soho.  DJ Ruby took to the turntables and treated the Best in Green crowd to some wild tunes before we all moved on to Madame Lala's London Revue to see us in to the wee small hours of Saturday morning.

On Saturday we had a real treat as Billy Joel and his band joined us a for a concert in the park.

Sunday was a new experience for everyone as there was a brand new DJ at Comptons pub - Bailey Saxmundham (oh wait...that's me!)

Next weekend is a long weekend in England and we have some special treats lined up...

Mainland London - A City on the Grow!

Mainland London continues to be a popular destination for people from all over the world and our expansion is well under way!

Regent's Park has been given a face lift and grown to accomodate the needs of visitors. The New User Experience continues to be a popular area of the park and we expect the same for the London Zoo. The animals have been ordered and are on their way from exotic locations. When they arrive they will be housed in specially created environments that will make them feel right at home. Visitors to the zoo will be treated to a day out like no other, be sure to get a free Geoffrey the Giraffe plush animal to hold and a free commemorative London Zoo balloon!

The road works are complete and new shops and attractions are being installed daily. Rezz and drive a car, walk or fly through the streets of Mainland London and you get a glimps of this vibrant thriving community. Enjoy one of the daily parties at Bar Soho or shop at one of the many merchants who call Mainland London home.

And speaking of merchants. We can't seem to build shops fast enough to accomodate them! We already have several reserved locations and are working day and night to complete these 'one of a kind' builds. Our shops and homes are bespoke and do not exist anywhere else on the grid. Should you find the same building outside of Mainland London rest assured it is a copy and not the original. With all the buzz and excitment of the expansion be sure to get your request for one of these fantastic buildings in early.

The Royal Exchange and Cannon Street Station are just two of the historic buildings we have recreated for the enjoyment of visitors to Mainland London. And we havent stopped there! Our list of historic builds continues to grow to the delight of everyone. We're not goning to tell you which buildings are going in, so you'll have to visit us every day as we have quiet a few suprises in store!

All this expnasion, plus the huge volumn of visitors makes Mainland London a city on the grow!

London Gets Bigger

The Soho region of Mainland London has just doubled in size!

Although we have added land to the West End district on a regular basis, Soho was starting to feel really cramped.

Whilst having all shops in both regions rented is great, it also meant that clients who wanted store space were unable to open their brand here as we had nothing available for them to rent.

Here in Mainland London, we were always keen to avoid the mistakes of others; ghost towns with whole sims of land, empty shops, no footfall and little to no following.   We started off small and have added land as it has been required.   However we didn't add it quick enough for Soho and we just plain ran out of room!

Today we have remedied that, by adding another half sim to the Soho district of Mainland London.

This will enable us to expand Regent's Park, add more stores, an amphitheatre, housing and better facilities for those who visit us on a regular basis.

Building work has already begun and we hope to have this additional land up and running by the month end.

Thank you for making Mainland London such a tremendous success.

Neil Fills Lala's

On Saturday night a crowd packed Madame Lala's London Revue to capacity throughout the evening, long before the star turn, Neil Diamond even arrived.  People were standing on the neighbouring Soho sim to catch a glance of this legendary entertainer.

To a house packed to the rafters, Neil Diamond sang his most famous of show stopping songs whilst the revellers danced into the small hours.

As if that wasn't enough, Madame Lala introduced a brand new resident entertainer, the larger than life Ruby Babylon and told everyone to be sure to come next week to see Ruby performing stand-up.  Lala then went on to sing her latest song from the forthcoming album and was accompanied by her famous Barbette staff as she wowed the crowd with her rendition of Blanket On The Ground.

This fabulous night was pure joy for the Mainland London crew who watched both sims fill to bursting point and stay that way for the whole evening.

Thank you for everyone who attended and for those who were not able to get into the sims, don't worry, Neil has said he will do an encore performance again soon.
