A Royal Fiasco and also a Wedding

The proud father
The Royal wedding is on track to be a fun day out (or in) for everyone!

The story so far..

Meghan Merkin's father has had a convenient heart attack which will prevent him from giving his daughter away at the right royal wedding.   Getting caught trying to wheeler deal with the paparazzi for some exclusive behind the scenes photo's has got nothing to do with it.

Meanwhile Clarance House has explained all in a highly detailed and reassuring statement that will allay any gossip.  It reads, "This is a deeply personal moment for Ms Markle in the days before her wedding. She and Prince Harry ask again for understanding and respect to be extended to Mr Markle in this difficult situation."

Radiant Mother-In-Law
Back on the lawn, the Royal family have broken with the tradition of feeding the wedding guests by telling them if they want to eat, they need to bring their own cheese roll or get a McWedding Burger from across the road.

The twelve hundred Golden Ticket holders, who have been especially invited for "serving their communities", have also been told that there is no water there either and if they want to remain reasonably hydrated they need to bring a drink too.

So far, this is shaping up to be a right royal fiasco and there's still a number of days to go before the big event.

Feast fit for a king
Join us live in London City on Saturday at 4am SL time (Midday in the UK) as we enjoy even more twists and turns in what is bound to be proper carbaret.

Margarita Pracatan at PRIDE in London City

Margarita Pracatan is a Cuban singer who found unexpected success in the 1990s.

Her big break came on the Clive James TV show where each week Margarita would play out the show, singing  her own unique rendition of a beautiful ballad performed on a Casio electronic organ, often with an unusually fast beat.

Now as part of London PRIDE she  performs a breathtaking show with an unusual orchestra.

A show not to be missed!

Party starts 12pm SL (8pm UK) with the concert an hour later at 1pm.

Check out the video from Margarita's first trip to London City:

Happy Official Birthday to The Queen

Her Majesty the Queen turned 90 in April, but today is her official Birthday.   This cunning tradition of doubling up on pressies, originated after a bleak wartime childhood where she would receive just a tangerine and maybe the odd country or two to add to her Empire.

Happy 180th Birthday ma'am.

See you at London Pride tonight,  for the Bee Gees in Concert.

The Queen at 90

Happy Birthday to Her Royal Highness the Queen, who is 90 years young today.

Her Majesty's accession to the throne was in February 1952 and she was Coroneted in 1953.   Her 64 year reign makes her the longest serving British Monarch of all time, surpassing Queen Victoria's 63 years and 7 months, which ended in 1901.

The celebration of the Queen's Birthday will be held on Thursday 12th of May to Sunday 15th May.
For details see: The British Monarchy Website

Long may Queen Elizabeth II continue to reign.

Longest reigning monarch

When Elizabeth II became Queen in 1952, Stalin was still leader of Russia and Truman was President of the USA.

The British Empire, although severely dwindling, still existed. India had become independent just five years before.   The British Empire finally ended in 1997 when Hong Kong was given back to China.

Today, Queen Elizabeth II, becomes the longest reigning monarch in British history.

The 89 year old head of state, surpasses the reign of Queen Victoria, who until her death in 1901, was Queen for 63 years, 7 months, 2 days.

Wishing Her Majesty many more happy years.
