We're melting!

Today in real life UK it is a blistering heat in the mid-90s, with tomorrow looking likely to set a new record for those of us in London.  Temperatures will top 100F.

At a mere 94F currently, London sprung a thankful leak, which let revellers enjoy the coolness of the Thames bursting it's bank for a while.

In fact it was so incredibly hot, that even the Governance team needed to cool down..

Be sensible tomorrow and take care.. and take some water with you.  We hope to see you online for lashings of virtual ice cream!    Enjoy the sun, if you can!

London Sizzles

Yet again, it is the hottest day of the year, with temperatures in London at 33.3c (92F).  However, this record is likely to be broken again on Friday!

The current heatwave gripping the UK shows no signs of abating, and there are temperatures as high as 35c (96F) expected by the end of the week.

It is expected that this will be the hottest Summer in Great Britain in a hundred years!

So you need to stay out of the RL sun and enjoy the safe and reliable SL sun enjoyed in London City.  What better way is there to remain safe, than logging in to your favourite social experience, where we can collectively complain about the heat?   Make use of the water based facilities to cool down your virtual persona!

Heatwave in England

Whatever you're doing today, enjoy the weather and don't forget to drink plenty of fluids, especially lashings of Hobgoblin.

With temperatures in London expected to reach 92F, today is the hottest day so far this year.

If you think this is freak weather, think again, only last year on 1st July it was 98F at Heathrow.

However, back in 2003 temperatures reached 102F which would make today seem positively chilly. If you remember that 8 day heatwave, don't forget to wrap up warm today.

The hottest nighttime on record was back in 1990 when it was 75F, but we're going to get close to that today, with an overnight of 71F.
