Mainland London Zoo - Update

The construction of habitats at The London Zoo continues with five completed exhibit spaces!

First on the list is the Flamingo Habitat. These majestic birds will be right at home amoungst the palms and feeding is made easy in the estuary. Along with flamingos this area will also be home to pellicans and other water fowl.
The Aviary will become the new home to exotic birds of all species. Sparrows, Finches, Parrots and Love Birds are just a few of the lovely creatures making The Aviary a must see stop at the zoo.
The rainforest habitat, 'Gorilla's in the Mist' , will be the new home to gorillas and monkeys. These playful animals will have plenty of space to display their antics while visitors remain safely outside the habitat.
Into Africa has been completed and will house all the big cats such as lions and leopards. Watch carefully as you may see a cheeta dash across the savanna.

The next exhibit to complete is the Giraffe House, home to Geoffrey the Giraffe! Visitors will be able to visit Geoffrey and the other giraffes in this replica of the real zoo habitat. Dont forget to get your FREE Geoffrey the Giraffe plush toy!

There are many plans and suprises in store for visitors to The London Zoo, watch this blog for updates on more habitats as they complete as well as events and displays.

Mainland London - A City on the Grow!

Mainland London continues to be a popular destination for people from all over the world and our expansion is well under way!

Regent's Park has been given a face lift and grown to accomodate the needs of visitors. The New User Experience continues to be a popular area of the park and we expect the same for the London Zoo. The animals have been ordered and are on their way from exotic locations. When they arrive they will be housed in specially created environments that will make them feel right at home. Visitors to the zoo will be treated to a day out like no other, be sure to get a free Geoffrey the Giraffe plush animal to hold and a free commemorative London Zoo balloon!

The road works are complete and new shops and attractions are being installed daily. Rezz and drive a car, walk or fly through the streets of Mainland London and you get a glimps of this vibrant thriving community. Enjoy one of the daily parties at Bar Soho or shop at one of the many merchants who call Mainland London home.

And speaking of merchants. We can't seem to build shops fast enough to accomodate them! We already have several reserved locations and are working day and night to complete these 'one of a kind' builds. Our shops and homes are bespoke and do not exist anywhere else on the grid. Should you find the same building outside of Mainland London rest assured it is a copy and not the original. With all the buzz and excitment of the expansion be sure to get your request for one of these fantastic buildings in early.

The Royal Exchange and Cannon Street Station are just two of the historic buildings we have recreated for the enjoyment of visitors to Mainland London. And we havent stopped there! Our list of historic builds continues to grow to the delight of everyone. We're not goning to tell you which buildings are going in, so you'll have to visit us every day as we have quiet a few suprises in store!

All this expnasion, plus the huge volumn of visitors makes Mainland London a city on the grow!

The Weekend Wrap Up

Hundreds of Party goers enjoyed a fabulous weekend of events here in Mainland London.
On Saturday the sims were filled to capacity again for ABBA in their first ever concert here.

Sunday saw the return of the Bee Gees and Cher giving afternoon performances again packing us to the rafters on a Sunday lunch time, then DJ Rolday in Bar Soho.

It's true that we don't offer thousands of lindens every day for people to come here.
We are keen to avoid gimmicks and bribes. We hope our visitors come to Mainland London for the Entertainment value, to enjoy themselves and become part of this expanding community.... and not come for the cash, which they won't get, cos it's not on offer :)

Although the sims are always full, so are the shops.  So next time you have a few minutes to kill having to do fancy manuevers to get in, please visit the buzzing shops in the neighboring Mainland London region.

As stated in the Second Life Destinations, we're making a song and dance of it again this month... Watch the blog tomorrow for the line-up of Events in Mainland London next weekend.

Thank you again everyone for your continued patronage..

Final thought for the weekend....
We do it all over again tomorrow!
