London City West - Coming Soon!

London City West is a picturesque leafy suburb of London, with rolling hills and pastures, carefully terraformed plots of land offering stunning views, with a realistic and natural flow.

It is secluded enough for you to enjoy complete privacy, but located within a stones throw of most popular location in all of Second Life; London City.

One of the biggest quandaries we have encountered has been to provide affordable and totally private housing for tenants.

Living in London City is wonderful as you get to meet many hundreds of different people every day, but was not quite so much fun when people move into your house when you are offline, or constantly break in when you are relaxing with friends.

London City West aims to take care of this completely by offering a fool proof form of security in giving supervisor group rights to the tenants.

A resident can now rez or build their own home on a generous plot of land measuring 1,536 square meters, as close or as far away from the road sidings as they wish.

Within each parcel of land, the tenant can:

Change media settings
Deed objects to group (media)
Eject and Freeze Residents
Manage Allowed and Banned Residents list
Set Home to Here
Return non group objects
Return objects owned by group (deeded)
Set visual privacy (see and chat with others - invisibility inside your parcel)
Set audio privacy (voice and sounds)
Set land to public or private access

London City West, also has a local village complete with tavern, Post Office municipal store, public park and country lanes connecting it to London City.

Building work continues at the moment but we hope to open this region shortly.

Revamping London City

You may have noticed some changes to London City recently.  In this bizarre virtual world we inhabit, it is more cost effective to buy a region than to move one.

For an estate to remain on the cutting edge, it is important to move with the times, update the rolling stock and to be consumer driven.

Unfortunately for us, London City was blocked by a gaming region which meant expanding to the West was always going to be a costly manoeuvre.  So last week we moved London City to a new location on the map, to facilitate the redevelopment of the estate.

Moving regions and paying tier whilst we flatten and rebuild them, does not make sense to us, so we have adopted the approach of building on a region by region basis from the ground up.

We are now in the process of remodelling, with a central community region with shops and clubs and secondary regions to serve a whole host of areas we have not provided for before.

Demis Roussos

Some very sad news today, Demis Roussos the legendary Greek singer has died aged just 68.

His shows at London City have always been immensely popular and fun events with large audience participation, plate smashing and dodging the tornados during his rendition of "My Friend The Wind".

We have decided to hold over the publicised event until next week and instead, perform a Tribute to Demis Roussos show, so that everyone can enjoy this superb entertainer at the height of his career.

Join us on Saturday at 12pm SL (8pm UK)  for a very special Party in The Park, celebrating the life of Demis Roussos.   Show starts at 1pm SL, here:
