Easter, The Jebus Revival!

Jan Couch     -      Tammy Faye Bakker     -      Vestal Goodman

This weekend in London City, we're holding a "Revival".  A toe-tapping high tempo, deep south, Gospel concert, starring our versions of Jan Crouch and Tammy Faye Bakker as hosts, with Vestal Goodman (known as Vestal Virgin) as the lead performer in our show.

In America, selling God is a multi-billion dollar, tax free business, raking in wealth for its televangelists, unimaginable even by the most famous of performers.

Each week millions of people tune into crying preachers who offer everything from cures for terminal illnesses to guarantees of making you as rich as them, so long as you send them your hard earned cash on a regular basis.

The premise being that God is a bit strapped for cash and that a mighty oak will grow from the acorn you plant.

Perpetually embroiled in scandals of racketeering, prostitution and embezzlement, it is also a cut throat business with each ministry condemning other ministries and producing evidence on each other,  as they compete for the prize fund of your money.

Kenneth Copeland     -     Benny Hinn     -     Robert Tilton

Top of the tree is Kenneth Copeland, with a tax free estimated worth of over a billion dollars, a fleet of private jets and his own airport, all used for spreading the word of the ministry... and holidays.

Every so often things go wrong, as it did in 1987 for Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker, who were the original Satellite Televangelists. Jim was found guilty of mail fraud and sent to prison for 47 years, but paroled just 5 years later. His mistake was to oversell time-share stays at Heritage USA, a city he had built to spread the good word.

Since the Bakkers mistakes, other televangelists have stopped offering tangible assets and instead offer to use their own hot line direct to God (who speaks to them constantly) to get you the things you want.  Since this cannot be measured, its all perfectly legal and profitable in the extreme!

However, with such extreme stakes involved, the production value of the shows produced by each ministry is paralleled only by Walt Disney studios.

Our Revival concert highlights the very best of the glitz and glamour you can expect as your sins are melted away.  It is tongue in cheek, has a free bar with hard liquor, the occasional hooker for our preachers and lots of crying.

We are not poking fun at people's beliefs, we are however aiming to lambaste the highest paying entertainment job in the world.

Starts 12pm SL (8pm UK) with 'The Hungry Goodmans' on stage from 1pm SL time.

Chalet Linden Homes launched ahead of schedule!

Breaking news:  Chalet Linden Homes are now available  AND the Bellisseria continent now connects to the Satori Continent!

Patch Linden says: Chalet theme homes are modeled after stylized European alpine wood-timbered houses (fachwerkhaus), of a type that you might expect to find in mountains of Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Slovenia, Croatia, or northern Italy. These are not rustic buildings, but contemporary homes ready for 21st century living.

Be sure to check by the London City Portals; we will feature some of these new homes in our Linden Homes Portal. :

Here comes summer-time

In the UK and Europe, the clocks go forward by 1 hour at bedtime, tonight!

Going Irish: The Nolans in Concert, on Saturday

It is The Nolan's on Saturday!

The Nolan's, who originally formed in 1974 as The Nolan Sisters, are an Irish/British girl group, famous for uptempo covers of well known songs.

In their own right, they are most famous for I'm In The Mood For Dancing, which when released in 1979, topped the charts around the world, and to this day, remains one of the most famous disco songs of the era.

The sisters, Anne, Denise, Maureen, Linda and Bernie, became regular favourites, appearing on many weekly prime-time shows, including The Two Ronnies.

Family feuds, ill health and the death of Bernie, put a stop to their act in the 2000's but the band reformed again in 2009, but stopped performing again by 2014.

Enjoy this show on Saturday at 12pm SL time (8pm UK), featuring all the Nolan's at the height of their popularity, with special guest, Kim Woodburn, who recently appeared quite demented along side Coleen Nolan on multiple shows!

Irish climax

On Saturday night, London City went wild for some crusties, as the Dubliners performed a wonderful concert of all the well known classic folk balads.  It was that kind of party where you could still sing along even if you did not really know the words.

And here is last nights Newsreel!

Get a dose

Quit yo' Jibber Jabber and get yo' vaccine!

On Friday as part community service and part party with nibbles, Madame Bailey hosted an event at Lala's that was literally a shot in the arm.

Being the youngest on the team (he lied), I have watched nearly all my UK friends getting their Covid Vaccine before me.

My turn is on Sunday, about the time this entry gets posted.  I have to say I feel a bit elated about it, as I have waited so long.   I've always had a bit of a phobia about people with colds, so Covid to me is very much a physcological horror as well.

If you are undecided or reluctant, reach out to me and I'll let you know how it went.  However, I do believe that the vaccine is far less frightening than the very real chance of catching this virus.

As you can see, the London team is quite large and watching everyone getting their shot before me has been unnerving in so far as every country is making end-of-lockdown plans and I am still waiting for the vaccine.

I do hope everyone in the universe gets their opportunity soon.  Til then, wear a facemask and burn the lavatory seat after use.
