Bailey's Jumble Sale and Bizarre
Years ago in Second Life, Yard Sales were a popular weekend activity. As a resident progressed through their game, they would sell off their transferable items cheaply, by re-boxing them and placing them on their land.
The guests would purchase the boxes, then use the 'take' command to place them in their inventory for their own use and pleasure.
It was great fun, terribly time consuming for the person selling the items, but a wonderful Jumble Sale atmosphere or rummaging was had by all.
So imagine how distressed we all were to hear that Madame Bailey (Bailey Saxmundham), who has donkeys years worth of old clothing, was just about to delete all her old glam hairdo's and frocks, and send them off to the great skip in the sky for all time.
We have pleaded with Madame Bailey to hold a church Bizarre at her house next weekend and to box up all her transferable tat for sale. This is a lot of work for her and she is reluctant to do it unless many people attend.
To show your support, we invite you to contact her and pledge the 10L admission fee into Saxmundham Mansion (5L to the unwaged) next Sunday (UK day time) and come and rummage around her old undies for some great bargains.
Lemonade and Ginger cake will be available on the day. We'll keep you posted about this event!
