Last night at the knees up

Saturday evening saw the magnificent Eurythmics in concert here at London City.  Today sees our Drag due, Coffee and Bailey at Substation from 11am SLT and Katty sprawled on the beach from 1pm SL.

For those of you concerned with my accident last night, where I slipped in my kitchen but managed to get the Johnny Walker glugging into the glass, mid-fall as I glided on the wet floor to my doom; my hangover is gradually fading.  I couldn't return the overfill of Johnny to the bottle, cos there was ice in the glass already.  Like a trooper and for King and Country, I drank it. Hence my predicament today.  True story, even though most of you thought it was a highly convenient accident.  It was a miracle.

Imaginary Election Time

It is 'imaginary election time', so we thought, that just for fun, we would give you a third choice.

President Carter only served one term in office, so is the only eligible living former President who could theoretically return to The White House and serve again.  At the time he left office, he was most unpopular but has substantially redeemed himself with his humanitarian work.

The question is, given the two candidates and our fictitious one, who would you choose for the next term in office?

Here we go again..

It is Lockdown Eve, here in the UK.  It is time to brick up the chimney, and decorate the tree with barbed wire, as we await the latest round of restrictions.

There will never be a better time than now to dust off your avatar and log in to Second Life, where the pubs can trade whatever hours they like, you can meet with hordes of family & friends, and social distancing is something that only happens in the real world.

London City is open and will remain open for your business and social needs.  We will continue to run events each and every day, a big party every Saturday, a concert every week - and of course, social interaction on voice and text with the thousands of visitors who use the hub area to discuss important things, like Bakes on Mesh, Garage Sales and does my bum look big in this.

Move bag and baggage into the virtual world and relocate here, it is a much happier place.  Before you do, maybe do a bit of panic shopping for essentials like beer and wine.

We're in it together, and the party starts now.

See you in-world!

Weekend Weather is here

Have you noticed that every time we are told to stay indoors, that the weather becomes amazing?

After a wishy-washy August, with the coldest temperatures ever recorded, September sees the return of the summer, with the best weather coming when the law changes (in the UK) on Monday and we can no longer hang out with our family and friends, unless we're unlucky enough to only have six.

That said, its going to be a scorcher of a weekend again, so we need to make the most of it, and our advice to you is for copious amounts of grog, music and snacks and to enjoy the parties here in London City as we continue the Birthday celebrations.

Piece of Cake

Kicking off our Birthday Bash last night was sixties icon Dusty Springfield, who burst out of the cake and join the celebrations.

From 11am SL time today, join Coffee and Bailey in Substation, then Katty on the Beach for Worlds End quizzes and music from 1pm SLT.
