Good morning!  

What a tremendous show that was last night with Abba.  The region was packed to the rafters as we all donned our flares and partied with the Swedes in the penultimate Disco season show.

Next week Boney M will round out the festival before we move into a bit of Country!

Don't forget that today, its Substation Retro with Bailey and Coffee from 11am SL, and Katty on the Beach with World's End at 1pm SL.

Superlative Amy

Last night we were treated to Amy MacDonald and the Big Band sound in the lead up to the festive season.  Thank you to all who attended.   

A reminder that today at 11am SL time (7pm UK) to join Madame Bailey and CoffeeQueen in Substation for some retro sounds.   Then Katty on the beach for Worlds End at 1pm SLT (9pm UK) for music, quizzes and trivia.

Time becomes normal again

After a confusing week, where our Daylight Saving had moved and the USA clocks had not, we are at last in sync again, as the American clocks catch up.  This means that here in London we are back to the usual 8 hours ahead of Second Life time and we couldn't be happier.

Today at 12pm SL / 8pm UK, join Bailey and Coffee for Substation and at 1pm SL / 9pm UK, Katty will be legs akimbo on the Beach with World's End.

News of the Weird

Good morning from a sunny RL London, where half the country is off to get their second harpooning this morning.  Good luck if you're one of 'us'.  Take a brolly, it is bound to rain the moment we set foot out of the house!

Last night in London in Second Life, it was standing room only for the marvellous Frankie Valli and the Jersey Boys / Four Seasons.   

The newsreel (below) shows some pictures of our drunken Saturday night adventure and the weeks news condensed to just 3 minutes!

Madame Bailey is down in the dungeon or as we call it, Substation Sunday from 11am SL time (7pm UK) with CoffeeQueen and her famous running buffet of music.  At 1pm SL time, join Katty on the Beach in a drunken stupor playing cool hits to chill to.

 

Substation tarted up

A Second Life estate is very much like repainting the Forth Bridge.  Each time you complete a building project, you notice something else that has become a bit neglected. 

Substation was one such case.  The beloved club in the disused Hobbs End station was at least five years old and was crying out for modernisation, whilst preserving the original feel of the underground.

We hope you will like the new innards, some of which should be subtle enough to go unnoticed as intended.

In other news, we've finally reset the prize in the Poker game and its all to play for!   Highest score in 99 hours from now, will win this stunning picture of the delightful Beverly Sisters, for your bedroom wall.  Imagine that, the Bevs looking over you while you sleep. How creepy.

What day is it?

Today is Sunday.  Don't bother getting dressed, you've deserved the rest after all that Christmas food and boozing.   Two events for you today,  Hubstation (Substation in the main hub) at 11am SL time (7pm UK) and The Worlds End broadcasting from an as yet, undisclosed location, but probably the hub at 1pm SL time.
