Pride Finale with Donna Summer on Saturday

Concluding London Pride and leading us rather neatly into the 'Disco Season', Saturday's finale is Donna Summer.

Five times Grammy Winner, Donna Summer was the first international artist to have three albums in the chart at the same time.

After her death in May 2012 she was posthumously named the "undisputed queen of the Seventies disco boom".

If you like Pride/Disco, then this is the event for you!

Party starts 12pm SL (8pm UK) with the concert an hour later at 1pm SL.

Come and enjoy Donna Summer the Disco Sensation here: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/London%20City/134/105/23

London Pride Weekend

All things being equal, this weekend we were due to have a tie-in event to London Pride in RL.  As you know, all organised events are currently cancelled in the Real World, so we will have to amuse our virtual selves in Second Life.

London City invites you to camp it up with us and wear your Pride colours with, urm, Pride!

Throughout the weekend we have some great entertainment lined up for you, kicking off this afternoon (Friday) with our first Pride Weekend Party and Madame Bailey's Gay Anthems in Lala's from 1pm SL time.

On Saturday the main Pride Party will feature Party Anthems and Donner Kebab-Summer in Concert right after Worlds End (On The Road) from 11am SL.

All we need is your gorgeous selves to join us.  Please bring copious amount of alcohol, cos this is going to be thirsty work!

Goodbye Margarita

It is hard to believe that only 2 weeks ago, the legendary Margarita Pracatan was still performing on her twitter account, and in London City, at the starting event for our Pride Festival and sounding her normal chirpy self.

We were all saddened on Wednesday to learn that she passed away suddenly, aged 89.  Thank you Margarita Pracatan for all the fun over the years.

Erasure Concert on Saturday

Back in 1985, singer/songwriter Andy Bell and songwriter Vince Clarke formed the band Erasure.

With the release of the single Sometimes the band established itself as one of the most successful bands in Britain during the 80s to mid-90s.  By the end of the 80s they had broken into the American market and to date have sold over 25 million albums.

Always popular with the LGBT club circuit, the band still performs today to a more mainstream audience.  They are best known for the songs, Oh L'amour, Victim of Love, Blue Savannah and A Little Respect .

Enjoy a tribute to Erasure here in London City on Saturday.  Party starts 12pm SL (8pm UK) with the show an hour later at 1pm SL time.  Teleport: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/London%20City/95/104/23

It must be summer!

You just know that its official summer, when (at enormous expense), you see the Olympic sized swimming pool arrive in London City.  Come cool your heels, flap your gums and get a beer down your screech.
