For those of you who enjoy a bit of a challenge, here's a neat trick to upload sounds longer than 10 seconds and up to 57 seconds.
First pull up your Audacity software and load the clip you want to work with.
In the bottom left hand corner, change the Project rate to 176400 Hz
Now use the pull down menu next to your sound file and change that to 352800 (Fig.1) and you will notice the sound compresses.
Next go to Analyze, then choose "Regular Interval Labels"
Then set Label Interval Seconds to 10, and Number of Labels to 2 for 20 seconds, 3 for 30 seconds and so on. (Fig.3) If you have problems at this stage, change the Label Placement Method to "Number of Labels" and try again.
Now go to File, "Export Multiple" and choose the export type as Ogg Vorbis File.
This will create several files named 01Label, 02Label and so on.
All you need to do now is a Bulk upload in Second Life and upload 01Label and you will have imported a wav file longer than 10 seconds.
