So here we are - the final weekend review of January 2012. This month has gone by so quickly, but as the saying goes 'time flies when you are having fun'. Of course they also say that 'time flies like an arrow, but fruit flies like a banana', but we shall pass over that one as the talk of bananas makes me giddy.
Friday started off for us as it usually does with a visit to
Bar Soho where we had a Best in Wild West theme with DJ Billy 'The Kid' Arentire and hostess Lisa. This helped everyone unwind before we all turned in to tie dye clad hippies for
Madame Lala's London Revue. Special guests were a tribute to Peter, Paul and Mary and the contest was somewhere between a peace protest and a love in. Although if I am really honest, from the state of how some people were dressed it was more like a protest against good taste...

On Saturday we had a real treat as one of London City's favourite SLebrities took to the main stage in
Regent's Park. Yes, we had the return of Mapoo Little and her extraordinary voice. She wowed the crowd with a selection from her repertoire taken from Amy Winehouse and Adele. A stunning concert as always.

There were, of course, the usual events across other London City venues -
Comptons on Sunday and
Lezbo on Saturday and Sunday...how do we fit so much in to one weekend?!
And that is it from auntie Bailey for this week. All that remains for me to say, in the spirit of Friday's event at Madame Lala's establishment, is "May peace shower down on you".
