Linden Lab announced via a press release on Tuesday that the next generation of Virtual World reality, known during its development cycle as Project Sansar, is now in the closed alpha testing phase.Due for release to the public in late 2016, the closed alpha currently has a small number of content creators trying out the platform for the first time, with more being invited later in the year.
The lab is keen to point out that Second Life is not going anywhere and that Sansar will run alongside their existing flagship product.
