The Saturday Concert: Dorothy Squires

It's that time again - the weekend is upon us and that means another Saturday concert.

The party starts with World's End at 11am SLT (7pm UK) with DJ Katty and hostess Coffee.  

At noon SLT (8pm UK) it's time for the Party in the Park.  This week's concert features the legendary Welsh chanteuse, Dorothy Squires.  Famous not only for her singing talent, she was also well known in the courts as a vexatious litigant (filing 30 court cases in 15 years) and was married to James Bond star, Roger Moore.

The Saturday Concert: The Everly Brothers

 Come along to this week's Saturday concert as we celebrate the Valentine's Weekend Love In
with the dynamic duo of Don and Phil Everly!

The party starts with World's End on tour in the Park at 11am SLT (7pm UK) with DJ Katty and hostess Coffee.  At noon SLT (8pm UK) it's time for the Party in the Park.  This week's concert featuring The Everly Brothers who had hits through the 50s and 60s with songs such as 'Bye Bye Love', 'Wake Up Little Susie', 'Cathy's Clown', 'Walk Right Back', and many more.

Happy Valentine's Day

It is officially the most romantic day of the year and cupid will be fanning the flames of love and rekindling some dying embers as he goes around shooting arrows all over the place.

There are those people who think that Valentine's Day is an expensive rip-off for those in a relationship, forced to pay three times the going rate for flowers or an evening out.  And others who think it exploits loneliness in those who want to be in a relationship but are not..  And then there are people out there who look forward to showering their beau with lots of presents and candy.

Regardless of how you feel about the day itself, there are lots of people online in Second Life which means lots of chances to strike up new friendships, and what better place to do it than London City?

Join us on Saturday 8th February as we embrace the Hallowe...erm...Valentine's season.

The party kicks off in the Park at 11am SLT (7pm UK) with World's End on tour featuring DJ Katty and hostess Coffee.

Up at noon SLT (8pm UK) we have the Party in the Park with DJ Katty, which includes this week's concert, the man with the golden voice and former bus driver - Matt Monro.  Mr Monro had a career which spanned 30 years and drew admiration from other singers, including Frank Sinatra.
