Happy Valentine's Day

It is officially the most romantic day of the year and cupid will be fanning the flames of love and rekindling some dying embers as he goes around shooting arrows all over the place.

There are those people who think that Valentine's Day is an expensive rip-off for those in a relationship, forced to pay three times the going rate for flowers or an evening out.  And others who think it exploits loneliness in those who want to be in a relationship but are not..  And then there are people out there who look forward to showering their beau with lots of presents and candy.

Regardless of how you feel about the day itself, there are lots of people online in Second Life which means lots of chances to strike up new friendships, and what better place to do it than London City?

Early Bonfire Night at Lala's

Enjoy some glitz and some fabulous party tunes today at Lala's.

Madame Bailey has sprung from her own private means, for a box of Benwell Fireworks and some Sparklers, so we can all enjoy an early Bonfire Night at Lala's today.

No Halloween Brexit Party

We have an event posted for a Brexit Party on Halloween evening. 

Needless to say, we were naively optimistic at the time of posting, and the UK isn't going anywhere this year.

In the meantime the UK is set to have yet another General Election on 12th December.  If you need to know which way to your polling station, just follow the groove made in the road by the public on their umpteen trips to the polls in the last couple of years.

Our Halloween party will be held at Madame Lala's on 31st October at 2pm SL time (9pm UK) with DJ DeSantis.

Oktoberfest the event

A wonderful night was had, thanks to Bailey and Coffee at Lala's, which had turned itself into a beer tent full of grog sampling residents.

Top Omph-pa-pa tunes were heard throughout the evening, and a special appearance by the German Chancellor Angela Merkel made the event even more special!

Don't forget today is party day with the Worlds End pub at 11am SL (7pm UK) and then Party in The Park from 12pm SL (8pm UK) followed by the concert by Hazel O'Connor.

Oktoberfest this weekend

Oktobefest Hangover

It was a sensational event at Lala's last night for Oktoberfest.  The drinks were flowing, the running buffet was finger-licking good, and Madame Bailey going round on the turntable after a few gins was the highlight of the night.

If you enjoyed Lala's last night, then next Friday is a true spectacular for you as Lala's holds a special Michaelmas Day Event with a full sit-down meal, dinner and a dance!

The weekend gets off to a flying tart with Madame Bailey and CoffeeQueen today at Lala's.  The duo will be making a spectacle of themselves in Lederhosen.  A sight not to be missed!

We hope you had a great time with us all here in London City last night.    For those who couldn't make it and for those of you who did, here are some of the highlights from this weekend so far.

New Schedule: Bar Soho, Madame Lala's and The Worlds End

Bar Soho makes its return on Friday!   The first club London City ever opened is making a welcome return to number 1 Soho Square.

We have taken this opportunity to simplify the club opening times so you never need to miss an event again.

Other regions in the estate with clubs Edge and The Crown are unaffected and will continue with their regular schedules, but in London City(1) you can now enjoy entertainment throughout the evening at these new regular times each day.

This new schedule also increases Madame Lala's trading days from one to three times a week. 

So whenever you logon during the UK evenings from 7pm UK, there is always something happening!

This new schedule begins on Friday!

Madame Lala's - A camp start to the weekend

London's top tranny club for camp comedy and the best dance music gets a new top tranny of its own moving into the management seat.

Experienced manager and founding London City member, Bailey Saxmundham is taking over the top job in this glitzy cabaret nightclub.

You are all invited to her inauguration ceremony this Friday at 1pm SL (9pm UK) for great music, champagne cocktails and the best banter on the grid.

Everyone is welcome, all you need is a sense of humour and an open mind.

Ruby Babylon returns to Madame Lala's

Two years after her sensational sacking for being drunk in charge of a microphone, the semi-sober, extra wide icon, Miss Ruby Babylon returns to the stage at Madame Lala's London Revue.

Ruby Babylon returns with a brand new regurgitated show from the days when the club specialised in show tunes and cabaret.

What's more, the club interior has also been regurgitated to best represent the initial concept and reflect the reality of its real life counterpart.

Madame Lala's is a camp and glitzy club full of chintz and 'ladies' with large wigs and lashes.  Everyone is welcome, all you need is a sense of humour.

Madame Lala's complete with its original set and music, returns on Friday at 3.30pm SL (10.30pm UK) with a show not to be missed!

Weekends in London City

Weekends in London City are something not to be missed.

It all gets going on Friday evenings as Substation, Bar Soho and Madame Lala's open their doors in London City from 11am SL (7pm UK).   At the same time, The Crown Pub in London City 3, offers four hours of music from two sets of DJ's offering different genres of Music.  This is a nine hours of Party on Friday nights alone!

On a Saturday, The Worlds End Pub in London City2 opens its doors from 11am SL, with music and quizzes.  Then its over to the Park for the Concert of the week.   This week it was the turn of the Scottish singer/songwriter Amy MacDonald.

After the Party in the Park concludes, we catch the night bus over to JUICED in London City3 and do it all over again!  JUICED runs themed parties throughout the week with some truly stunning scenery as this chameleon type club changes every week!

Last night in JUICED it was back to School for a Saint Trinians  party.  Enjoy the Video and thank you for keeping London City the most popular estate in the entire grid!
