Spooktacular!

It was the first of the Halloween Specials last night in London City with 80's New Wave singer songwriter Hazel O'Connor in Concert.  This was a great beginning to the Halloween Season, with more themed events to follow each week.

Don't forget that from 11am SL time (7pm UK) today Substation is open, with golden oldies Bailey and Coffee, and then Katty takes to the beach for World's End at 1pm SL time (9pm UK).

Oktoberfest the event

A wonderful night was had, thanks to Bailey and Coffee at Lala's, which had turned itself into a beer tent full of grog sampling residents.

Top Omph-pa-pa tunes were heard throughout the evening, and a special appearance by the German Chancellor Angela Merkel made the event even more special!

Don't forget today is party day with the Worlds End pub at 11am SL (7pm UK) and then Party in The Park from 12pm SL (8pm UK) followed by the concert by Hazel O'Connor.

Cash at The Crown Wine Bar

Missing from the London City landscape for a couple of years now, we are thrilled that The Crown Wine Bar has at last made a long overdue return!

Located just off the welcome area in the main hub, The Crown is a one stop venue for entertainment and for winning some cash!

You will need to join the group inside the bar for details of events being held.  An inviter located inside the venue will automatically invite you.

As well as regular DJ events, there are some very handy features for new users looking to earn a few linden dollars to pay for some of life's luxuries.

These cash incentives, include cleaning the bar after the untidy customers,  being a dancer, answering cash questions at 1L a pop, a cash dropper and a lucky chair!

Season Change

As September draws to a close and the new season begins, we hope you enjoyed a month of classic country entertainers including Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, John Denver.. and last night's show, the lovely Dolly Parton.

78 people answered the survey, of which 62% (48) said Yes, they have faked a sick day to play an online game, whilst 38% (30), said No, they have never taken a sickie to play an online game.
