Weekend in Review - 20th to 22th April

And so ends another weekend of costumes, music and insanity in London City.  The weekend started on a classy note with Best in Formal at Bar Soho.  It was a first for us, as the event was sponsored by Vero Modero, who provided free gifts and prizes.

Following on from Bar Soho, we headed on over to Madame Lala's London Revue for a Best in Disco contest and some fabulously camp and strange tunes.

On Saturday World's End Pub hosted a Best in Bizarre contest.  I don't wish to besmirch the good names of anyone there, but sometimes you wonder if they make an effort for such contests or just come as themselves!

Hot on the heels of the event at World's End, the party continued with Best in Party Wear in Regent's Park.  The tribute concert was the ever popular Neil Diamond, who had the crowd swaying with his crooning.

Neil Diamond...well, maybe Cubic Zirconia...and his band
After the concert it was time to head off to Best in Pirate at Lezbo.  Rather like fitting a ship in to a bottle, Ruby had managed to fit a pirate ship in to the club.  For added authenticity, she even left the taps running and flooded the club.  Still, it was about time the floor had a wash.

On Sunday we had our own version of the London Marathon, which proved to be fun for competitors, marshals and spectators alike.  Oddly enough even with furries and such, it didn't look any stranger than the real thing!

London hasn't seen so many people running since the lootings
To bring the weekend to a close, we had a Best in Dad's Army contest at Substation and then finally a Best in Fairy at Lezbo.

Stay tuned to find out what is in store for next weekend!
