Summer of 73 - The Bee Gee's in Concert

Each weekend throughout April, London City celebrates a year from the 1970's and plays music and concerts from that year.   Last week was 1976 and Boney M thrilled the crowd.

This weekend we move back a few years to 1973.  The pop music charts in the UK at that time included hits by, Slade, Gary Glitter, Wizard and Led Zeppelin to name but a few.

Also, just starting to get noticed on the international stage was a band of brothers who called themselves, The Bee Gee's.

Before being catapulted in super stardom upon the release of Saturday Night Fever in 1977 and securing their place in history with Grease in 1982, the Bee Gee's were becoming very popular in Australia and Japan in the very early 1970's.

We hope you enjoy a bit of nostalgia as we go back in time to the Summer of 1973, playing songs that predate their later hits.

Party in The Park starts at 12pm SL (8pm UK) and the concert begins at 1pm SL (9pm UK).

Competition is Best in Flares!
