London City Autumn Gala to celebrate 8th Birthday
Eight years ago London City came to life on a small Mainland parcel which rapidly grew and moved to its own private island. Through September, we hope you will join us to relive some of our historic milestones and help celebrate our 8th Birthday.
September features our most popular concerts as well as some of the early ones that are no longer in the circuit. So if you enjoy a bit of nostalgia, head on over to London City.

John Holt on Saturday
This Saturday it's John Holt in Concert.
Born in Kingston Jamaica in 1947, Holt was one of the biggest Reggae stars by the early 1970s.
Four years ahead of Bob Marley, in 1973 John Holt's Album 1,000 Volts of Holt became the first Reggae Album to break into the UK's Top Ten, spawning Top Ten singles entries for Help Me Make It Through The Night and Touch Me In The Morning.
Although subsequently eclipsed by Marley, John Holt is regarded as the first mainstream artist to bring Reggae music to the masses and he released 56 follow up Albums and toured regularly all over the world until his untimely death in October 2014, aged 67.
Join us on Saturday for original reggae with John Holt.
Party starts at 12pm SL (8pm UK) with the concert an hour later at 1pm SL.

Carter or Mattis?
On Saturday, we had a user poll (just for fun) which asked, if you could send only one person to North Korea, would you choose "the diplomat", or the "the military"?
We chose Jimmy Carter to represent the diplomat, because since his less than successful presidency, he has proven himself as one of the greatest humanitarians.
He has helped many times as the American diplomat sent to Korea in the past, negotiating with the North Korean government on four occasions since leaving office.
At 92 years old, it is however, extremely unlikely that he would again be called to perform such a duty. It is however great fun to see Jimmy winning our "election" here in London City, beating the military option of General Mad Dog Mattis.
So here is how you voted. Of 54 votes, 31 (57%) were for the diplomat "Jimmy" and 23 (43%) were for the military solution "Mad Dog Mattis".
You can draw your own conclusions as to which option is best. But at this time, we declare Jimmy Carter duly elected to sort out the worlds problems.
In Jimmy, we trust!

Athletics News
The spectators looked on in awe and the crowd went wild. It was the Final of The International Musical Chairs heat, last night in London City.
Congratulations to Olympic athlete, Jamie for winning the supreme championship, despite the handicap of playing in a pair of Jimmy Choo's. Jamie wins a gold coloured kitchen chair that Mr Trump would be happy to have in his dinette.
Where else can grown adults have so much fun?
