Bank Holiday Weekend in Review - 4th to 7th May

So here we are again, except my blogging of the exploits in London City are slightly later than usual as it was a Bank Holiday weekend here so we continued partying through Monday.  I am so exhausted that I am ready to get back to work for a rest.

Three parties seems to be the way of life on a Friday now with Substation hosting Best in 50's Fashion, Bar Soho having Best in Sci Fi (for May the Fourth) and Madame Lala's rounding the evening off with a Best With Own Teeth contest.  I am not sure who actually checked the teeth, but thankfully it wasn't me.

Continuing on where we left off on Friday we had another three events on Saturday.  The evening started at World's End with a Best in Angels and Demons themed event.  Following on from that we headed on over to Regent's Park for a Best in Underwear contest with Tom Jones tribute taking to the main stage.

The night ended at Lezbo with an Under The Sea event and another of Ruby's amazing themed sets.

On Sunday we began to wind down from the constant partying as Substation ran a Best in Beatles Era contest.  Plenty of Beatles' hits and a pleasant atmosphere in the 60s themed underground club.  Sunday then finished at Lezbo with a Best in Spanish Outfit contest that saw some spectacular dancing with fans and castanets.

As Monday was a Bank Holiday and we managed to escape from real life and work, there was a traditional street party, which also played host to Adele and Best in Come As You Are.  The event saw the square outside Bar Soho transformed to a makeshift venue with catering facilities to suit all tastes (especially the beer tent).

The long weekend then ended at Bar Soho with a Worst Dressed contest.  As that has just finished as I am writing this, the outfits are still burning my eyes so you shall have to excuse we while I go and blot them out with several pills.

Hope you all have a great week.  Keep an eye on the blog for announcement of developments in London City this week and as always, thank you for your continued support.
