Hey London City, how ya doing ?
I know you didn't see me last week, but that's because we were celebrating Second Life's 10th Birthday.
So, did you miss me? ( say yes ) And what have you been up to? tell me everything ....and don't skip bits.
I can tell you exactly what we've been up to, we've been the most popular destination in SL...FACT...as per usual and we have been having a whale of a time.... fun, dancing ,shopping, chatting, events, concerts, prizes, winners, a whole array of wonderfulness... that all goes into the mix to make your London City the top destination and most fun place to be in.
So, arriving in London City, you will most likely land in one of our two hubs, the hubs are bustling with people, friends meeting up after a hard days work in RL, coming into London to chill out with friends, catching up on all the goss...
New people to Second Life, drop in, finding a live friendly community, and we offer a new user experience to help all new people pick up some basics, to help them on their way to a rich, full second life, with trained, helpful Support, headed by our wonderful Evie and Bean, this really is a great place to be.
Once you have hit the hub you may want to travel around the 4 sims that go into making London City what it is, all very different in feel, we cater for every taste, and hold live interactive events too.
Once you have found London City, you will never want to leave, as so many of our regular residents say.
Every Saturday evening we host a LIVE event in Regents Park... we have seen all manner of fantastic artists play there, every week seeing a huge star can you imagine how much that would cost in RL.... here in Lonodn City its all free and open to everyone to enjoy...just make sure you get there early as the place fills to capacity and you will miss out.
We have seen huge stars like Tina Turner, Beyonce, Take That, BeeGees, Rod Stewart, omg ...the list goes on.
This week no stranger to London City regents Park we had Amy MacDonald, she is awesome, with her new concert, with backing from non other than the royal philharmonic orchestra , this event was epic in more ways than 1.
Amy, born August 26th 1987 in Dunbartonshire, she rose to fame in 2007 with her first album "This Life" the single "This Life" reached the top 10 in 17 countries, 6 of those were number 1 in the charts.
Amy has also won countless "Best New Comer" awards since 2008.
I caught up with Amy and some of the Orchestra having a cigarette before the show, and asked them how they felt about performing in The best destination in SL... Amy said "I love London City, its always full of such energy"
One of the orchestra said "Burp" ... I think that was meant as a compliment.....
Saturday saw Amy, dressed in her causal Red and Black stripy jumper and shorts, standing centre stage with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra around her, what an awesome and splendid sight and the sound.... you really had to be there to experience this awesome collaboration.
The Orchestra were dressed in all their finery, as they opened the show playing Beethoven, then announcing
Amy to the stage, she sung her heart out, a distinctly recognisable voice Amy wowed London City yet again with this awesome Live concert.
Meanwhile, there's a new ( not necessarily wanted ) law enforcement officer...
Here we see Constable Babylon pulling this poor innocent man over ( trying to chat him up and woo him with her tight ... some may say ill fitting uniform ) poor chap doesn't stand a chance....
Well that s all from me this week, I'll meet you next time for more fun and frolics in London City... Accept no imitations....and "Lets all be careful out there " xxx
